This is the new CDE/BITC’s project on Private Sector Development.

We advise the BITC on how to improve Botswana’s access to regional and EU markets.

ABOUT

DOCUMENTS

This project is part of the Private Sector Development Programme (PSDP), an initiative of the Government of Botswana supported by the European Union (EU) and the Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE).

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) and Botswana Confederation of Commerce, Industry and Manpower (BOCCIM) in partnership with the EU and the CDE, launched the PSDP on 23 May 2013 in Gaborone.

In 3 years and with €2.3 million, the PSDP aims to stimulate and sustain growth through diversification while building the capacities of institutions and human resources that support the private sector.

Key partners of the PSDP are BOCCIM, Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC), Local Enterprise Authority (LEA), Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA), Botswana Exporters and Manufactures Association (BEMA), Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS), Botswana National Productivity Centre (BNPC), Hospitality and Tourism Association of Botswana (HATAB), Botswana Tourism Organisation (BTO) and Botswana Innovation Hub (BIH).

This specific project supports both BITC and Botswana Export Credit Insurance (BECI).
