Centre for the Development of Enterprise
The Centre for the Development of Enterprise (CDE) is a joint institution of the African, Caribbean, Pacific (ACP) Group of States and the European Union (EU), within the framework of the Cotonou Partnership Agreement. Its mandate consists in supporting the development of the ACP private sector.
The Botswana Investment and Trade Centre (BITC) is an organisation established , to become an integrated Investment and Trade Promotion Authority (ITPA) with a mandate of investment promotion and attraction, export promotion, and development, including management of the Nation Brand. Through its critical role within Botswana’s economy, BITC further encourages domestic investment and expansion, promotes locally manufactured goods to regional and international markets, contributes towards improvement of the investment climate through policy advocacy, increases citizen participation in the economy and creates sustainable job opportunities.
Founded in 1996, BECI is the only credit insurer in Botswana, and is a private company – wholly owned by Botswana Development Corporation (BDC).BECI’s primary function is to develop and equip businesses with Trade Credit Insurance policies to protect them from the danger of non-payment by credit customers. In addition, the company now offers a selection of business growth tools, such as Invoice Discounting, Debt Collection and Construction Bonds and Guarantees.
Ines Escudero Consultancy is specialised in trade and private sector development. Its staff have been working on export promotion and market access programmes since 2010 and on development programmes since 2005. They have a large experience coaching and training firms in developing countries on how to export internationally.
They also support governments to draft and implement export promotion strategies.
Ines Escudero Consultancy is based in Africa but works in Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Pacific also.
