EU rules of origin

Exporting from Botswana, there are several sets of rules allowing you to pay lower or nil duties on some or all of what they sell to the EU.

To check if your case can benefit from this “discount”, you will have to prove that your product

“originates” in Botswana or the region.

Course description

The rate of duty that must be paid on your goods will depend on three elements - the type of goods, the country the goods are being imported into and where they are judged to have ‘originated’ from. The first step is to clarify the origin of the goods.
